The Concept — Sheeple

The challenge each year with creating the Sunny package is “make it weirder.” With the knowledge that there were episodes that touched on the absurdities of 2020, I pitched a concept titled Sheeple. This leaned into the idea of ‘sheep’ in pop culture, referring to a group of people that follow blindly. The idea of sheep also paired well with this seasons backdrop; Ireland. Originally, we pitched 100% sheep. FX tapped us back requesting 65% sheep 35% Irish ‘stuff’ and the graphics below were born.
